Program Description:

This course provides general, advanced training in economics. It is broadly based and gives the opportunity to sample from a range of optional units, as well as to develop theoretical and applied quantitative skills. It provides training appropriate to those seeking employment as a professional economist in either the private or public sector; and gives the essential foundations for a research degree in Economics. This course emphasises the principles of economics. Three units can be taken from a wide range of options, usually including: international economics; industrial organisation; the European economy; development economics; political economy; economic statistics; strategy and risk; and economics of corporate finance.
