Doctorate - Clinical Psychology

Program Description:

The three-year full-time programme leading to the award of Doctor of Clinical Psychology qualifies successful students for registration with the British Psychological Society as Chartered Clinical Psychologists, and for employment in the National Health Service as clinical psychologists. The course integrates clinical practice with academic training and research. Students complete six clinical placements, each of six months duration. These include: adult mental health; child psychological disorders; learning difficulties; and the elderly. Students take one advanced option from among the core placements, as well as one specialist option from a range of clinical settings in the region. NB: IF YOU REQUIRE A WORK PERMIT TO WORK IN THE UK YOU CANNOT BE CONSIDERED FOR A PLACE.
