Program Description:
The UEA full-time MBA is an innovative MBA programme with two 'firsts': The UK's first MBA that jointly awards a Diploma in Management Consulting. The world's first MBA Strategic Carbon Management
Key features: January start, December finish Organisation-based consultancy projects Scholarships and bursaries available The MBA programme starts in January 2010 and is divided into two intensive study periods that each culminate with examinations. In addition, each study period includes one Consultancy Project. In the middle of the year MBA participants complete a Challenge that involves the whole cohort organising a high quality business project. The Consultancy Projects replace the more traditional dissertation. These are group projects with well-established businesses that allow participants to adapt theory to help an organisation achieve its goals, whilst developing teamwork and negotiation skills. Throughout the 12 months, students attend Masterclasses given by national and international experts that are a valuable source of practical applications of theory. MBA participants also undertake a bespoke course to enhance their next career steps, the Career Impact Programme.
International Student Requirements:
We welcome applications from those whose first language is not English or those whose degree was not taught in English. To ensure such participants benefit fully from postgraduate study, we require evidence of proficiency in English. Our entry requirements are as follows:
IELTS 6.5 (with a minimum score of 6.0 in all components: reading, writing, speaking and listening)
Internet-based TOEFL 92-94 (with a minimum score of 20 in all components: reading, writing, speaking and listening)
Please note: Norwich Business School does not accept the WELT (Warwick English Language Test).
At the discretion of the MBA Programme Director, further assessment of a candidate’s level of competence in the English Language may be requested by means of an interview or evaluation of written qualitative/quantitative work of the candidate.
