Renewable natural resources provide the basis for continued human existence. Conserving and making best use of the planet’s water resources, soils, crops, livestock, forests, fisheries, wildlife and biodiversity are essential for sustainable development.This new programme is unique in that it places debates about natural resource use and conservation firmly within a development studies context. It is aimed at those who wish to contribute to research, assessment, management and development of natural resources.
