Program Description:

The Higher Education Program is deeply committed to addressing critical issues, devising possible solutions, and creating innovative approaches in a changing multicultural and global society. Our focus is on postsecondary education and related fields, such as nonprofit and nongovernmental work and training and development in the private sector. As part of the College of Education and the University of Denver, our students learn from faculty and classmates who are engaged in cutting edge scholarship, pedagogy, administrative practices, and development in the educational sector and beyond. Our graduate program offers the Master Arts degree in Higher Education with concentrations in four areas: Student Development (with sub-specializations in Sports Administration as well as Admission and Advising), Organization and Governance, Teaching and Learning, and in Leadership and Organizational Change for Professionals. We offer the PhD in Higher Education with concentrations in Organization and Governance, Postsecondary Public Policy, and Teaching and Learning.
