Program Description:
Students develop skills in counseling and research that lead to work primarily with normal populations in educational and non-educational settings. The Counseling Psychology Program at the University of Denver is fully accredited and approved by the American Psychological Association.
The master's and doctoral programs include work in therapeutic theories and techniques, research, career and group counseling, program development and evaluation, field work and practicum, as well as other areas relevant to each particular degree program. Although most programs are structured because they lead to licensure, students may pursue individual interests through electives.
