Program Description:
The conceptual framework of the School of Education and Allied Professions refers to our graduate candidates as professionals and reflective practitioners. Assuming leadership roles is an important component of being a professional. This concentration recognizes that teachers are professionals who should be engaged in those actions that make a difference in the classroom, building, district and beyond. The teacher as leader concentration is designed for those graduate candidates who see themselves as leaders in their schools and school districts in numerous ways. Some examples of the leadership roles might include lead teacher, instructional leader, or building or district curriculum committee leader. This program does not include principal licensure.
Eligibility Requirements:
Results from the GRE or MAT are required for applicants with an undergraduate grade point average below 2.75 on a 4.0 scale.
