Program Description:
Students may opt to earn a Master of Science in Education with a concentration in literacy, or they may earn just the reading endorsement. The endorsement can only be added to an existing standard teaching certificate or licensure and is limited to the age and grade levels listed on the teacher certificate or licensure. The Master of Science in Education with a concentration in literacy provides students with the knowledge and skills to become literacy leaders in their schools. Students are given opportunity for practical application of theory and will work with faculty who are up-to-date on current literacy research.
Eligibility Requirements:
Results from the GRE or MAT are required for applicants with an undergraduate grade point average below 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants may wish to submit copies of their Praxis results and current licensures, if available.
