Program Description:

The 48-hour master’s program in community counseling is a generalist curriculum that prepares students to pursue counseling licensure. In Ohio, licensure as a professional counselor requires a master’s degree in counseling and 60 semester hours of graduate courses.

Traditional counseling is the main focus of the course work, and the remainder of course work emphasizes clinical counseling with persons who have a diagnosed mental disorder.

Eligibility Requirements:

Results from the GRE or MAT are required for applicants with an undergraduate grade point average below 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants may submit copies of their Praxis results and current licensures in support of their application.
