Program Information
Degree Offered
M.A.-Interdisciplinary Studies; M.S. - Interdisciplinary Studies
Format: Campus
Program Description:
The University of Dayton offers over 50 disciplinary and cross-disciplinary advanced degree programs, making it easy for students to find the program that meets their needs. Interdisciplinary programs are designed by individual students in cooperation with an adviser and representatives from selected programs. While the interdisciplinary program does not take the place of an established program, it draws from several disciplines to meet a special need, frequently for job-related requirements.
The program should involve several disciplines and be directed by one faculty member from each discipline. Under the direction of an adviser and a committee of professors, a proposed course of study can be defined for a student, submitted to the graduate council and, after approval, carried out under the adviser’s supervision.
Eligibility Requirements:
Results from the Graduate Record Examination (GRE) are not required. However, candidates are welcome to submit a score in support of their application.
