Program Description:

The Department of Biology offers graduate programs leading to the Master of Science (M.S.) and the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biology. These programs emphasize research, bioinstrumentation, teaching and professional development. Each program is tailored to the student’s own interests and career plans in consultation with the graduate advisory committee. Specialization is accomplished through the selection of courses, choice of thesis or dissertation research topic, participation in weekly seminar and teaching.

The GRE is required, as well as the GRE subject test in biology.
