Program Description:

The Special Education master degree offers students the opportunity to complete in-depth study of normaldevelopment and variations resulting from the existence of one or more disabilities. Special emphasis isplaced upon language, literacy, behavioral interventions and collaborative processes as they apply toexisting and emerging job roles. As part of the master program in special education, graduate students may elect to earn teaching certificates in the areas of hearing impairment, learning disabilities/behavioraldisorders, or developmental and multiple disabilities.
