Program Description:

The Department of Molecular Genetics, Biochemistry and Microbiology at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine provides a variety of diverse opportunities in cutting-edge areas of modern biomedical research under the umbrella of a single integrated departmental program. Both doctoral and master's programs are offered - in each case students are exposed to a comprehensive range of courses and learning opportunities in both general and more specialized subjects in biomedical science. Our diverse program has unique strengths for conducting research in a multidisciplinary arena, with opportunities in cancer biology, cardiovascular research, immunology, microbial pathogenesis, structural biology, cellular and developmental biology, gene regulation, and human genetics and model organismal genetics.
