Program Description:
The NAAB accredited Professional Graduate Study in Architecture Program at Cincinnati is a co-op and design -centered program that prepares students for licensing and critical engagement with the realm of practice; it aims to elevate professional esteem and multiply career opportunities for graduates by providing a curriculum that encourages self-directed learning in which students tailor course work to specific career objectives. Students work together with faculty one-on-one and in small groups around student design topics selected from five primary areas of academic concentration: Sustainable design; Urban design; Historic preservation and adaptive re-use design; Interior architecture; Advanced building design and technology. UC's unique Professional Practice--otherwise known as Co-op--aspect of this education includes a minimum requirement of four quarters experience working full-time under the direct supervision of a registered architect, which count toward the National Council of Architectural Registration Board's Internship Development Program requirements.
