Program Description:
The primary mission of the Guidance and Counseling program at the University of Central Oklahoma is to prepare "Professional Mental Health Counselors who specialize in the school environment". To do this, the program adheres to the national standards set forth by professional organizations (American Counseling Association and American School Counselors Association), accrediting boards (Council for Accreditation of Counseling and related educational programs) as well as standards set by the State Department of Education.
