Program Description:

This program is designed for the education and training of persons to enter the professions of speech language pathology or audiology. The program is accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and provides a variety of clinical experiences using state-of-the-art equipment in the Welch Schmidt Center for Communication Disorders. Faculty are accessible and possess a broad range of knowledge and professional experiences. Graduates are eligible for the CCC from the ASHA and licensure by the Missouri Department of Economic Development, Division of Professional Registration. Upon obtaining their license as a speech-language pathologist, graduates are also eligible for a Student Services Certificate through application to the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education; this certificate provides graduates with opportunity for employment as speech-language pathologists in the Missouri public schools.
