Program Description:
Provides advanced studies in the areas of Learning Disabilities, Behavior Disorders, Mental Retardation, Early Childhood Special Education, and Severe Developmental Disabilities as well as Special Education Administration. Addresses National Board of Teaching Standards Certification.
Quality instruction is offered in consultative services and human diversity. The program provides enhanced understanding of persons with exceptional needs in schools and larger society.
The Education Specialist prepares individuals for leadership roles in schools and communities.

All graduate programs at UCM are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Teacher Education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
