Program Description:
The curriculum is aligned to Interstate School Leader Licensure Consortium standards and leads to principal certification, preparing competent administrative leaders for P-12 schools. One of only four graduate programs in education administration in Missouri that is nationally recognized by the Educational Leadership Constituent Council. Elementary and secondary emphasis areas are available.
Faculty members have extensive practical expertise in P-12 school administration. Faculty provide quality consultation to area school personnel and appropriate forums for dissemination of information on current issues relative to the operation of schools.
The Education Specialist provides emphasis areas in Elementary School Principalship, Secondary School Principalship, or Superintendency.
Accreditation:
All graduate programs at UCM are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. Teacher Education programs are accredited by the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE).
