Program Description:

This degree offers emphases in Music Theory/Composition, Music History and Literature, Music Education, Performance, Piano Pedagogy, and Conducting. The Piano Pedagogy emphasis is the only accredited masters program in that area at a state school in Missouri. The Music Education emphasis is formulated specifically for those who wish to teach, or are teaching, in the public schools of Missouri.Music Theory/Composition, Music History and Literature, and Music Education offer a "Thesis" or "No Thesis" option. Required classes are offered during the evenings in both the fall and spring semesters
