Program Description:
This program is designed to prepare graduates to recognize, evaluate, and control environmental factors of chemical and physical stress arising from the work place. Graduates are employed in industry, federal and state government, academia, military, and with consulting firms.
Over 250 alumni have CIH, CSP, CHMM or similar certifications. Student stipends are available via a NIOSH training grant.
The program focuses on practical, hands-on experience. The Herbert H. Jones Health, Safety, and Environmental Lab has a multitude of sampling and analytical equipment.
Accreditation:
All graduate programs at UCM are accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools. The Industrial Hygiene program is accredited by the Related Accreditation Commission of the American Board of Engineering and Technology.
