Program Description:

PhD and Masters in Corporate Law (associated with the National Centre for Corporate Law, this is a research degree with a topic in 'commercial' law, eg company law, law and electronic commerce, taxation law, and so on). Importantly, neither the Masters nor Phd in Corporate Law require a first degree in law. The course is thus open for people with backgrounds in accounting, business, economics, political science, sociology, anthropology, and so on.SJD (Professional Doctorate). This popular course combines 24 credit points (6 subjects) of course work plus a 60,000 word thesis. Candidates would normally have five years of legal experience of some kind. Topics can be on any area of law.LLM This is a coursework masters with a minor thesis. Subjects and thesis can be in any law related area. A first degree in law is required.Grad Diploma in Legal Studies. (six subjects, one year full time; or part-time equivalent). Does not require a first degree in law and subjects can be from any area.Our MBA program now offers two legal specialisations. You can do MBA (Legal Studies) which combines the 8 coure subjects of the MBA with your choice of any four master's units in law. You can also do a specialisation with four law units in corporate governance. These options are designed for lawyers who want to do a Master's with a broader business focus and for managers who seek to know more about legal compliance and risk management.
