Program Description:

This certificate program provides software professionals with the background and skills necessary to create and modify object-oriented applications written in Java. Beginning with "Object-Oriented Analysis" followed by "Object-Oriented Design," we introduce Java programming as a language for implementing these designs. Because of the richness of Java, we treat the language and its environment in two separate courses: "Java Programming" and "Java Programming II." In the final core course, "Object-Oriented Programming Using Java," we re-focus on object-orientation and make the close connection between the discipline and the language.
