Program Description:

The Department of Biochemistry and Biophysics, in conjunction with the Program in Biological Sciences, offers graduate training leading to doctoral degrees in Biochemistry, Genetics, and Cell Biology (which includes Developmental Biology). While students are expected to master the core material, the curriculum itself is flexible and multifaceted, including not only formal course work but also a vigorous program of seminars and visiting lectureships, a student-faculty journal club, teaching experience, and original laboratory research.
