Program Description:
The University of California, San Diego (UCSD) has gained national and international renown for the quality of its graduate programs and the scope of its research contributions. It is proud to provide one of the most prominent programs for the study of Latin America in the United States.
In addition to offering Latin American curricula at the graduate level, the Latin American program at UCSD has distinctive characteristics:
* A unique combination of resources focused on Latin America, including the Center for Iberian and Latin American Studies, the Center for U.S. Mexican Studies, the Center for Comparative Immigration Studies, and the Institute of the Americas.
* Over eighty full-time Latin American specialists on faculty

The Master of Arts in Latin American Studies is designed for students who seek to integrate a broad range of disciplinary approaches to a world region of growing international significance.
