Program Description:
The Oral Biology Program encourages applications from promising students seeking either the M.S. or the Ph.D. who intend to pursue careers in research and teaching. Applicants must have (1) a bachelor's degree in biological or physical science (most applicants will also have a degree in dentistry such as a D.D.S., D.M.D., or equivalent); (2) acceptable academic performance, especially in the areas of biology, chemistry, and physics; (3) three letters of recommendation from science faculty familiar with the student's scholarly abilities, academic and research background, potential; and (4) a statement of purpose that should include relevant background and preparation (previous academic specialization, work experience personal experience), specific study interest, and type of research sought.
