Program Description:
The primary goal ofthe program is to provide students with critical skills in theories, methods, and research. Consistent with this goal, the program has a three-pronged structure: 1) Incoporates study in four domains of human development - biological, cognitive, psychosocial, sociocultural. 2) Organizes the study of human development across the life span from conception through aging. 3) Emphasizes the internal and external contexts within which human development takes place and by which it may be affected - physical and mental health, nutrition, disease, families, schools, hospitals, and governmental and social policy.
