The Reading and Literacy Development Certificate Program is designed to assist teachers in building and enhancing skills needed to teach reading in K-12 classrooms. The program consists of a sequence of courses that give participants the skills to: assess students' reading ability; provide reading instruction for students based on the results of these assessments; develop, implement, and adapt reading and content curricula; serve as a teacher leader in the area of reading and literacy development.
