Program Description:

This new MA is designed to give students the opportunity to extend and develop their knowledge of Twentieth century Italian culture through anexploration of the major debates and issues that defined it. The programme looks at the way culture has been thought about in Italy and uses the ideas of different theorists to discuss the work of writers and film-makers this century. It examines the ideologies espoused by different groups within Italian society and their impact on artistic practice.
