Program Description:
The reading and language arts consultant certification program is a sixth year degree program designed to prepare educators for reading leadership positions in elementary, middle, and secondary schools. The program prepares the student for the roles of a curriculum and instructional leader, including the following: organizing, supervising, and enhancing literacy programs; coordinating the instruction and assessment of students in reading and language arts; guiding, improving, and enriching reading and language arts instruction in all content areas; and collaborating with teachers, administrators, parents, and other literacy leaders.
Courses are offered at the main campus in Bridgeport as well as at UB's Satmford and Waterbury Centers.
