Format: Campus
Program Description:
At the University of Bridgeport School of Education, we focus on giving our graduates the knowledge and preparation they need to become great educators – people who challenge and inspire their students to dream bigger, reach farther and achieve more. We believe that’s why the School of Education is recognized as one of the top teacher education programs in the state of Connecticut and why so many of our graduates find placement in their schools of choice.
Student's can achieve a master's degree and remedial reading/language arts certification (grades k-12) in as few as 15 months by participating in our tuition-paid internship program. Other students complete the program by taking evening courses at their own pace; once they reach the 33-credit mark, 6 credits of student teaching (a 12-week experience) is required.
Graduate courses in education are taught at the main campus in Bridgeport as well as our Stamford and Waterbury Centers.
