Program Information

Degree Offered

M.A.-Legal and Ethical Studies

Format: Campus

Program Description:

In the M.A. in Legal and Ethical Studies program, students learn how to look beneath the corporate, medical and political scandals that make newspaper headlines and analyze their deeper causes and human dimensions. They learn how Anglo-American law and classical ethical ideas have shaped the creation and enforcement of modern legal regulations, policies and practices. Then they learn to think about how, in the future, they might make better choices as business executives, educators, health-care providers or public servants. When students complete their core studies, they have an opportunity to tailor their remaining courses to fit their interests and career goals. Some courses are also offered online.
