Program Description:

M.A. in Japanese and Chinese Studies for students planning to do a Ph.D. later. The Ph.D. is offered in Chinese Studies. M.A. General East Asian Studies program is designed especially for students who do not plan to go on to Ph.D. work in EAS but who may wish to incorporate a general knowledge of East Asia into a professional career or an academic career in some other field.
