Program Description:

The Faculty of Medicine and Oral Health Sciences offers a Diploma in Dental Hygiene. The program is two (2) years in length. The objective of the Dental Hygiene Program of Study is to facilitate students' acquisition of knowledge and development of skills and attitudes so that they will be able to assume positions of responsibility in private dental practice or community health care settings. The dental hygienist is an integral member of the health care team (dentist, dental hygienist, dental assistant and dental laboratory technician) who strives to improve oral health by providing preventive and educational services to the public.
