Program Description:
Tailored to the needs of the community-based practitioner. The program is structured to assist students on the path to licensure as either a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). Required courses emphasize five themes: community mental health focus; consumer- and context-tailored methods of intervention; cultural issues and contextual sensitivity; clinical management strategies reflecting the current state of the profession; and critical evaluation of relevant contemporary research findings.
