Program Description:

The Elementary Education programs at The University of Alabama emphasize the contextual basis for learning, particularly within the ever-expanding global community that includes many diverse kinds of learners and educators. All programs focus, at least in part, on the constructive nature of the teaching-learning process. All programs highlight the need to employ the nature of the content and the learners, regardless of cultural background and exceptionality.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must hold a bachelor's level teaching certificate in elementary education to be eligible for the MA program. Must hold a master's level teaching certificate in elementary education to be eligible for the EdS program, three letters of recommendation.
