Though a traditionally residential campus, The University of Alabama reaches out from the campus to meet the educational needs of people who are unable to attend regular classroom sessions. The University delivers educational opportunities to the nontraditional student through the Division of Distance Education and promotes distance learning via QUEST (videotape), IITS (video conferencing), NTU (satellite), and Independent Study (correspondence), and GOALS (Internet).
