Research in the Department of Chemistry is pursued along all five of the main subdivisions of the subject (analytical, biochemistry, inorganic, organic, and physical). Interdisciplinary collaborative research is concentrated in the chemistry of materials and surfaces, biological macromolecules and structural biology, and natural products.
