Program Description:
Vision science is an interdisciplinary field of study that embraces all facets of the visual process. It includes such specific topics as optics, anatomy, biochemistry and physiology of the eye, neurophysiology, eye movements, development of the visual system, and visual perception. Programs leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees include a core curriculum covering the topics listed above, research techniques in vision science, advanced seminars, and completion of the research thesis or dissertation.
