Program Description:

The goal of the Breast Cancer Training Program at UAB is to educate and train students for a Ph.D. in breast cancer research. Students can choose from 6 broad-based research foci, traditional, and -cutting-edge+: Cancer Causation, Cancer Chemoprevention, Mechanisms of Growth Control, Cancer Pharmacology, Gene Therapy, and Targeted Immunotherapy. These criteria foster opportunities for collaboration and produce a trainee with diverse expertise in breast cancer research. Trainees with interdisciplinary education and training should have better insight and be more innovative in breast cancer research.
