Program Description:

The Graduate Program in Biology offers programs of study and research leading to the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees for students who seek to become competent teachers and researchers of biological processes. Research emphases include the environmental biology of aquatic organisms.The curricula include departmental courses, as well as those taught by faculty of the basic science departments of the UAB Medical Center (e.g., the cellular and molecular biology courses) and at the Dauphin Island Sea Laboratory. This diversity of graduate training opportunities enables students to acquire breadth as well as depth in their background.
