Program Description:

The Outdoor Education graduate option leads to the acquisition of a Master of Arts or Master of Science degree in Education. The option is designed for teachers who hold certification in any subject area or grade level. It is an experiential approach to education which utilizes the existing school curriculum as the foundationfor the teaching/learning process. The goals are to enhance the existing curriculum, expand environmental awareness, utilize resources beyond the school building, augment knowledge of unique environments, involve the learner more in the process of learning, and refine the decision-making procedures for the educator.
