Program Description:

Although primarily a research degree, thi s degree also has a significant course component which comprises subjects relating to sandstone reservoirs, petrophysics, diagenetics history, seismic interpretation, sequence stratigraphy, seismic processing and basin tectonics and depositional history, together with exploration economics and management. It involves close interaction with the petroleum industry through a period of placement in industry and the research projects chosen.
