The Master of Applied Science is a two year full-time (or part time equivalent) research program leading to the presentation of a thesis giving the results of original research on which the candidate has been engaged. The Doctor of Philosophy is a three year full time (or half time equivalent) research program leading to the presentation of a thesis which makes a significant contribution to knowledge.
