Program Description:

The Research Centre for International Political Economy (RECIPE) recently became part of a wider political science cluster in the interdisciplinary Amsterdam School for Social Science Research (ASSR). As an extension of the research program Transnational Society, State Transformation, and Global Governance based at the ASSR, a pre-PhD program is being offered in which global political and economic questions are addressed and critically analysed in an interdisciplinary context. The program provides a broad theoretical background in International Relations and International Political Economy and offers supervisory guidance in designing a sophisticated PhD research proposal which students can use as a basis for a PhD thesis.
