Format: Campus, Online
Program Description:
There must be a change towards sustainable energy systems, and the transport sector is the most urgent area for changes. More or less nothing has been done to achieve sustainability, and therefore transports are at present totally dependent on declining oil resources.
Umea is the centre of the Biofuel Region just between two 20 Meuro pilot plants for ethanol and Fisher-Tropsch diesel, respectively. Thus, the Master’s Programme deals with processes and technology for production of biofuels for transport. Within the programme, you can choose between a Master in Energy Engineering or in Chemistry. The objective is that you will be able to take an active part in the development of a new system for transports in the future.
The programme starts in the spring term in January
