Program Description:

The developmental psychology area focuses on theoretical, empirical, and applied aspects ofdevelopment from infancy through adolescence, particularly in the areas of perceptual andcognitive development. Faculty research interests include metacognition, resiliency,development of coping strategies and motivational beliefs in African American adolescents,space perception and spatial cognition, and motor development.
