Program Description:

Tufts Gordon Institute's M.S. in Engineering Management is a part-time graduate degree program specifically designed for working engineers and technical professionals. Our pre-architected program focuses on business knowledge, technical acumen, strategic thinkig and leadership skills - topics critical to students' success in technology-driven companies.

Our M.S. program in Engineering Management provides an alternative to an MBA for technical professionals who want to maintain their technical focus and leverage their technical backgrounds to advance their management careers. Survey data from recent alums show that with the skills gained through Tufts Gordon Institute's M.S. in Engineering Management program, 50 percent of students receive promotions before they graduate; 95 percent are promoted within two years of graduation; and approximately half report average annual salary increases of 20 percent after graduating.

Coupled with our technology focus is our renowned faculty. Steeped in real-world experience, 80 percent of the program's faculty have either previously or currently hold executive positions in industry and are experts in their respective fields - making them uniquely suited to educating and mentoring students. In addition to the breadth of knowledge provided by the faculty, students learn from their classmates' years of professional experience. MSEM students contribute unique points of view based on their experiences in the defense, biotech, healthcare, medical instrumentation, electronics, telecom, computer hardware/software and construction industries.

An undergraduate engineering, technical or science degree
A minimum of three years of work experience
The ability to contribute in a dynamic, interactive classroom environment
A strong record of performance in the workplace
Current employment (preferred but not required)
