Program Description:
The degree programs in the Human Nutrition Science Programs address the relationship between nutrition and health and offers several options for graduate training. Students in the program study nutrition at the molecular and cellular levels, the organism level, and the population level, with attention to nutritional problems. Involves an interdisciplinary approach, and students may research a wide variety of topics, such as antioxidants, energy metabolism, epidemiology, exercise physiology, gastrointestinal nutrition, genetics, immunology, lipid metabolism, mineral and vitamin metabolism, neurosciences, and vision.Research opportunities available at the Jean Mayer USDA Human Nutrition Research Center on Aging at Tufts University, 711 Washington Street, Boston MA 02111
