Program Description:

The MFA Program in Theatre at Towson State University is an experimental, self-directed process designed to challenge, expand, and develop the participant's artistic vision. Intercultural, interdisciplinary, and collaborative, our program aims to reconstruct a theatre capable of transforming the artistic, social, and economic constraints of the American artistic landscape. Seminars and workshops with distinguished visiting artists form the foundation of the curriculum. These seminars expose the student-artist to a wide range of theatrical styles and methods, emphasizing their cultural context and underlying principles.
