Thomas Edison State College offers an accelerated, online Master of Business Administration (MBA) with specializations in areas where significant job growth is projected: Data Analytics, Healthcare Management, Marketing and Finance. The Thomas Edison State College Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a career-focused graduate program that will prepare students for leadership roles in a wide variety of firms and organizations. Geared specifically for working adults, the Thomas Edison State College MBA program is designed to be completed in less than two years, with courses offered in eight-week formats. Students never have to attend class on campus, and can earn credit for what they already know through graduate prior learning assessment.

The Thomas Edison State College MBA program will help students develop competencies that will enable them to add value to organizations and prepare them for leadership roles.
The Master of Business Administration requires 39 credits, organized into three sections. Credit requirements vary by specialization, and all MBA degrees are designed to be completed in less than two years. Core courses are the first a student will take and must be completed before moving on to electives. Core courses must be completed sequentially and include:

Elective courses may be taken in any order, except in certain areas of study where an order is suggested. MBA elective options include:

• Negotiations
Area of Study courses are the final courses completed in the degree program, and focus on the student’s area of specialization. Examples include:
• MBA in Healthcare Management: Healthcare Delivery, Healthcare Finance
• MBA in Data Analytics: Managerial Statistics, Business Forecasting
• MBA in Marketing: Social Media, Global Marketing
• MBA in Finance: Investments, Financial Management
In addition to the MBA courses, students can also use prior learning assessment to complete these requirements.
Thomas Edison State College participates in a number of federal and state financial aid programs. Eligible students may receive Pell Grants or Federal Education Loans, such as the Subsidized Stafford Loan and the Unsubsidized Stafford Loan, for courses offered by the College. Eligible New Jersey residents also may tap a variety of state grant and loan programs. Students may use state aid to meet all or part of their college costs, provided they are taking at least 12 college credits per term.

Thomas Edison State College is regionally accredited by the Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools. This prestigious accreditation is part of a national system of quality assurance which requires colleges and universities to reach a common understanding and agreement as to the standards of quality for American higher education.
Eligibility Requirements:
All MBA candidates are required to have completed undergraduate courses in the following topics: Financial Accounting, Statistics & Microeconomics. Candidates may apply to the program prior to completing these courses & receive conditional acceptance to the program but will not be able to enroll in MBA courses until the prerequisite requirements are satisfied. Applicants must have earned a baccalaureate degree from a regionally accredited college or university & must be ready to participate in an online environment. A minimum of two years of professional, managerial or related experience is required. Alternatively, students may be admitted to the program if they have work experience as well as an undergraduate business degree. A minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 is required. Applicants with an undergraduate GPA less than 3.0 may submit GMAT or GRE scores to enhance their application consideration. Scores must be within five years of admission to be considered valid.
